If you want to keep up-to-date with news concerning Washington Huskies athletics all in one easy-to-digest format, follow the official UW Dawg Pound Twitter account and subscribe to Ryan Priest’s lists of UW’s beat reporters, Washington athletes, Washington coaches, and Washington athletics prospects. Now onto the Dots!
Football Dots
- The Athletic’s Brian Hamilton had a great profile of Huskies quarterback Jake Browning this morning. I don’t want to give too much away since he Athletic is a subscription based service, but Hamilton provides a great insight into just how meticulous Browning is in his preparation.
- Luke Mounger of Dawgman put together a preview of the Huskies linebacker group. ($$)
- Adam Jude published his preseason Pac-12 picks yesterday. He predicts that the Huskies will re-capture the North division title and that Utah will claim the South title for the first time in school history.
- The Seattle Times’s Matt Calkins tells Huskies fans to ignore Chris Petersen when he inevitably downplays expectations tomorrow at Media Day. He also tells fans (not the players, mind you) to embrace the hype.
- Here are a few dates that will definitely be of interest to Huskies fans.
.@UW_Football fall camp begins Aug. 3 and the annual Picture Day event for fans is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11.

- A few of the Huskies big uglies were named to the Outland Trophy watch list, which goes to the best interior lineman in college football.

- Huskies fans got some disappointing, if not all that surprising news this morning when former UCLA athlete Bryan Addison committed to Oregon. The Huskies were among the teams Addison was considering after announcing his decision to leave UCLA a few weeks ago. He will be eligible to play immediately.
