Conversation With Elite 11 Quarterback

NCAA Football: Fiesta Bowl-Penn State vs Washington Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Last weekend Dylan Morris competed at the Elite 11 down in Redondo Beach, CA along with 22 other elite quarterbacks. After 3 days of throwing, and competing Morris was selected as one of the final 11 quarterbacks selected to move onto to the Open finals in Dallas, TX where he will join other elite prospects in the 2019 class.

Bud Elliott from SBNation had a chance to speak with Dylan and here is what he had to say:

What has the Elite 11 experience been like Dylan?

You get to make lifelong relationships with these quarterbacks across the country and we all have like minded goals to compete and get better and get your mind to open up about life and a different perspective on football. That is what I have pulled the most out of this.

After your injury, how are you feeling?

It’s going good, I am at about 95% right now. It was tough in the beginning but I battled through it and had 2-3 plates in and wanted to get them out. It’s been tough, but it’s been a fun experience and eye opening to deal with adversity like that.

What are you checking in at height and weight wise?

I’m about 6’0” 185 pounds.

What are some of your goals this offseason?

I think just getting better chemistry with my team, getting guys in the weight room. More throwing in, 7 on 7 stuff, and really come in strong to the season.

What were your thoughts when you heard that Bush was hired as offensive coordinator?

I’m happy about that cause I met him my freshmen year and I knew his coaching style. I was glad they brought in someone who it wouldn’t be too hard to build a relationship with. I am just happy about it and excited to build a relationship with him.

As one of the leaders of the class for UW what are your thoughts on the class and who do you want to add to the class?

Yeah you know every time a new guy gets an offer I just text him about it. You know build that first impression with them. I don’t have any guys in particular I am trying to get. Nate Kalepo does most of that stuff, he is kind of the head guy of our class. I kind of just text guys here and there.

That is all for now, as always follow me @asieverkropp.
