A Conversation With A 2019 3 Star Wideout

A Conversation With a 2019 3 Star Wideout

NCAA Football: Fiesta Bowl-Penn State vs Washington Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Recently I had a chance to talk with Taj Davis a 3 star wideout from Upland HS, CA. He is a teammate of current Husky running back commit Cameron Davis. Both visited Washington during the spring game, and Davis received a Husky offer a few weeks after the visit. Here is what he had to say about the Huskies and his visit:

When did the Huskies start recruiting you?

Back in August

Who is the coach recruiting you at UW?

Coach Matt Lubick and coach KB

When you got the offer from UW what did you think about it?

I was super excited because I really like UW and I loved the visit up there.

When you visited UW for the spring game how did the visit go and what was the highlight of the visit?

The highlight was taking to Coach Pete I would say. I loved the visit up there a lot.

What do you like the most about your trip to UW?

I would say the system they have going up there. It is really good and I think I would fit well in it.

What other schools are you interested in?

A lot of other schools. (He currently holds offers from Cal, UCLA, Arizona, Utah, and WSU to name a few)

When do you want to try and commit to a school?

Sometime in summer.

Are you and Cameron Davis good friends?

Yeah we are best friends.

Davis is a big wideout and has very good speed. He fits into the bigger mold of wide receiver that the Huskies have been targeting the last few classes. The Huskies will probably take 3 wideouts in the 2019 class and Davis might end up being one of them.

That is all for now, as always follow me @asieverkropp.
