Former Washington Huskies wide receiver and punt returner Dante Pettis realized his NFL dreams tonight, when the San Francisco 49ers announced his selection with the 12th pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

In addition to catching 22 touchdowns in the last two years, Pettis made his mark on the national level by setting the FBS record for career punt returns for touchdowns. He began his senior season with punt return touchdowns in three consecutive games, and scored one more against Oregon to set the career record at nine.

For more about the skill set Pettis will offer at the professional level, read our profile of the former UW wide receiver that we published in advance of the draft.
