Where The Class Stands Heading Into 2nd Signing Period

NCAA Football: Washington State at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

With less than 24 hours left until the 2nd signing period begins. The Huskies with 19 signed players and 2 verbal commits will be anxiously awaiting news from a few key targets on their board. Here is a look at who Coach Pete and his staff are still after:

Jeremiah Martin a 4 star defensive end out of El Cajon HS, CA is a pass rush specialist the Huskies would love to add to their roster. At 6'6" and a reported 245 pounds Martin has the athleticism to be an all state football and basketball player in California. He is reportedly down to Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Washington with the Huskies hosting him this last weekend. He would be a bigtime addition but the Huskies will need to win against some bigtime teams. He will reportedly be making his decision sometime around 1pm pst tomorrow.

Tanner McKee a 4 star quarterback out of Centennial HS, CA visited the Huskies during the football season and although he lists UW as a finalist it sounds like UW will be on the outside looking in. He is a mission kid and will count towards the 2020 class for whichever school he signs.

The Huskies already have verbal commitments from two 4 star defensive players including defensive back Julius Irvin out of Servite HS, CA. He committed to UW over offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, and USC. He will start out at cornerback but he has the frame to play safety. He was a bigtime commit whose dad played in the NFL for a long time.

Tuli Letuligasenoa a defensive tackle out of De La Salle HS, CA committed to UW last night after being committed to USC for a long time. He will play defensive tackle for the Huskies when he arrives at Montlake. This was a bigtime recruiting win for the Huskies.

If the Huskies land Martin they will have a top 10 class in the nation and probably the best class UW have ever assembled in the modern era. The class will boast future stars on both offensive and defense and ensure that Caoch Pete has the Huskies in the playoff mix year in and out.

I will provide updates as I hear them and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
