Nathaniel Kalepo is a Husky

The long-time commit out of Rainer Beach made it official Wednesday by inking his National Letter of Intent.

The Huskies added a big piece of their future to the program when long-time commit Nathaniel Kalepo signed his national letter of intent on Wednesday. The 6-6, 329 lbs offensive tackle out of Rainier Beach was one of the Huskies longest commits in this class. He verbally committed to Chris Petersen and his staff almost 16 months ago back in August of 2017. The local lineman chose to stay home, spurning offers from Oregon, USC, Tennessee, and Michigan, among others. Kalepo was one of the most vocal recruiters for the Huskies and has spent much of his time recruiting others to join him in the 2019 class.

As a prospect, Kalepo is a little raw and will likely take a few years to develop before serious playing time. However, with a huge frame and superb athleticism, Kalepo has a very high ceiling. He will likely line up at tackle for the Huskies. The 247 Sports Composite ranked him as a 4 star recruit, the 2nd best player in the state of Washington, and #353 overall.
