This weekend was an important game for the Huskies and although they didn’t host any official visitors they did have several big time 2020 players in attendance. Here is a look at who was at the game (note: these are the most notable):
2020 5 star defensive Sav’ell Smalls from Garfield HS, WA attended yet another Husky game (he has been to several this year). Smalls has offers from around the country and he is one of the highest rated recruits that will have ever come out of the state of WA (247 sports has him rated as the 2nd best prospect in the country). He is a long ways away from making his commitment but he is looking heavily at Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, USC, Stanford, and UW. In the end this looks like it could be a Alabama and UW battle. Here are some of his highlights from last year:
4 Star 2020 wideout Jalen McMillan out of San Joaquin Memorial HS, CA was also in attendance. McMillan has offers from around the country and at 6’2” and roughly 180 pounds he has the size that Husky coaches have been looking for in their wideouts. He is one of the top wideouts in the 2020 class and the fact that the Huskies could get him up on an unofficial speaks to his interest in the Huskies. Here are some of his highlights:
2020 4 star wideout Gary Bryant from Centennial HS, CA was in town on an unofficial visit as well. Bryant is a small (5’10” and 160 pounds) but speedy wideout who the Huskies would love to add to their team. He has offers from around the country and expect UW to be in the thick of things for his signature. Here is an article about one of his games earlier this year.
It also sounds like 2020 4 star offensive offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett from Ferndale HS, WA was at the game. Hatchett is a big time offensive lineman and the Huskies are in a good spot to land him over schools like Alabama, Ohio State, USC, and Michigan.
With a bye week coming up I would imagine the coaches will head out on the road to see some players this weekend. Towards the end of the week we will start to hear what games they will be at and let you guys know. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
