Yesterday the Huskies landed a critical player on their recruiting board when 3 star defensive end Bralen Trice out of Sandra Day O’Connor HS, AZ committed to UW. He projects as a buck player who will rush the passer and also be able to drop back in coverage. At 6’4” and 225 pounds he is a prototypical Buck that Pete Kwiatkoski has been looking for. Here is a look at how he committed to UW yesterday:

Trice is the 17th commit in the 2019 class which is ranked between the 2nd and 3rd best in the Pac 12 and in between the 18th best class and 23rd best class in the nation. Here is a look at the class so far:
4 star defensive tackle Jacob Bandes from Pittsburg HS, CA
4 star quarterback Dylan Morris from Graham Kapowsin HS, WA
4 star safety Asa Turner from Carlsbad HS, CA
4 star offensive tackle Julius Buelow from Kapolei HS, HI
4 star running back Cameron Davis from Upland HS, CA
4 star offensive tackle Nathaniel Kalepo from Rainier Beach HS, WA
4 star cornerback Kamren Fabiculanan from Westlake HS, CA
3 star (4 on 247sports) safety Cameron Williams from Bakersfield HS, CA
3 star (4 on 247sports) defensive tackle Sama Paama from Kaimuki HS, HI
3 star defensive end Bralen Trice from Sandra Day O’Connor HS, AZ
3 star wide receiver Taj Davis from Upland HS, CA
3 star offensive tackle Troy Fautanu from Liberty HS, NV
3 defensive tackle Noa Ngalu from Menlo Atherton HS, CA
3 star offensive guard Cory Luciano from Diablo Valley College, Ca
3 star linebacker Miki Ah You from Kahuku HS, HI
3 star linebacker Alphonzo Tuputala from Federal Way HS, WA
3 star kicker Timothy Horn from Punahou HS, HI
The Huskies are bringing in a pretty balanced class so far, but they still want to bring in some players on the defensive side of the ball namely at cornerback, defensive line, and linebacker. There are a few big targets left on the board who will be visiting the Huskies in the coming weeks and months, here are a few guys to watch:
4 star defensive tackle Faatui Tuitele from St. Louis HS, HI. He will probably visit UW in December.
4 star linebacker Daniel Heimuli from Menlo Atherton HS, CA. He is teammates with Ngalu and is very interested in UW.
4 star cornerback Trent McDuffie from St John Bosco HS, CA. He has had a good senior season and is looking hard at Stanford, Oregon, and UW.
4 star defensive end Laiatu Latu from Jesuit HS, CA.
There are also a couple of wideouts who are still on the board that the Huskies would love to add, and both are five stars. They have hosted both players and the Huskies should be in it until the end on:
5 star wideout Kyle Ford from Orange Lutheran HS, CA. He just had a devasting ACL injury but UW would still love to bring him in.
5 star wideout Bru McCoy from Mater Dei HS, CA. He is down to UW, Texas, and USC.
That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
