Husky Coaches Extend Some Offers And Husky QB Commits Shine

Recruiting Roundup

NCAA Football: Washington at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

This last weekend was a big weekend for Husky QB commit Jacob Sirmon and his Bothell HS team as they faced Mullen HS from Colorado. Sirmon led his team to a 31-28 victory and showed off his arm strength going 24 for 39 for 395 yards and 4 touchdowns. If you watched the game you could see why he is a 4 star recruit and top 100 player in the 2018 class.

The Huskies’ other QB commit had a big game as well. Colson Yankoff whose Coeur d'Alene lost to Camas HS 28-25 threw for 251 yards and rushed for 182 yards. Although his team lost it sounds like he played well and continues to show that he will be able to compete for the QB job with Sirmon once they both get to Montlake.

On the recruiting front the Huskies offered a few prospects recently including:

Apu Ika a star 2019 DT prospect from East High School, UT who is currently committed to BYU. He is currently listed by Scout at 6'3" and 360 pounds.

J.T. Tuimoloau from Eastside Catholic HS, WA and a 2021 prospect was recently offered. He is being recruited at DE/OLB by the Huskies currently.

Lastly 2018 3 star Athlete Maureese Wren from Mesquite HS, TX decommitted from Arkansas and several recruiting analysts just picked him to commit to UW. However, he will need to visit first with his parents per Coach Pete's rule. Expect that to happen soon.

That is all for now and as always you can follow me @asieverkropp.
