The assembled media at the 2017 Pac-12 Media Days has selected Washington as the overwhelming favorite to win the conference’s North division, with the Huskies earning 49 of 52 first-place votes. That result would of course earn the Dawgs their second consecutive berth in the Pac-12 title game, following last year’s championship season.

In the South, USC is afforded a similarly wide benefit of the doubt, with the Trojans also earning 49 of 52 first-place votes. In the Dec. 1 Pac-12 title game, the media predicts the Trojans to beat the Huskies by a 28 to 22 edge. That result would earn USC its first conference championship since Pete Carroll’s 2008 squad.
