NCAA Football: Washington Spring Game Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

If you want to keep up-to-date with news concerning UW Athletics all in one easy-to-digest format, feel free to follow Ryan on Twitter and to subscribe to his lists of UW's beat reporters, Washington athletes, Washington coaches, and Washington athletics prospects. To the Dots!

Football Dots

  • Sporting News ranked their top-25 QBs for next season where a quartet of Pac-12 gunslingers made the top-14 including our own Jake Browning.
  • They also looked at the top-25 RBs where Myles Gaskin was one of 5 Pac-12 runners that made the list.
  • Given that they have a top-10 QB and RB from above, it makes sense that the Dawgs also featured prominently in the list of top-10 offensive trios in the country.
  • In this ESPN insider article, they compared UW recruit QB Jacob Sirmon to another Washington QB named Jacob...Jacob Eason.

“Both are Washington natives and possess prototypical size and height for pocket passers. They have polished mechanics with a compact delivery and equally impressive velocity and accuracy on their deep balls.”

  • Bad news for UW’s other QB recruit for 2018

Basketball Dots

  • Markelle Fultz attended the NBA draft lottery last night where the Boston Celtics received the #1 overall pick.
  • The Ringer expects the Celtics to take Fultz and have him form the best UW Point Guard duo of all-time with Isaiah Thomas.

Misc. Dots

  • The Washington women’s rowing team is headed to the NCAA championships
  • And the UW men’s rowing team will be competing at the IRA Championships
  • And because I have the power, the UW Men’s Ultimate Frisbee team has been seeded 8th for the National Championships which take place over Memorial Day weekend.
