ESPN reports that 2018 recruit Jontay Porter has officially decommitted from the University of Washington. Porter is going into his senior year in high school and is the younger brother of the No. 1 high school recruit, senior Michael Porter, Jr.
Porter is a 6-foot-10 center that committed to the Huskies his sophomore year in high school. According to ESPN, he is the No. 26 player in the 2018 class. Porter stated that his departure was due to the coaching changes.

Lorenzo Romar was fired by the University of Washington on Wednesday after 15 years with the school.
Clearly, this is no surprise to most. Porter had verbally committed to the Huskies and is now re-opening his recruitment. UW Athletic Director Jen Cohen stated that she would release any incoming recruit from their letter of intent once they met with the new head coach and determined they wanted to go elsewhere.
Expect more announcements regarding staying or going with the incoming 2017 class after a new head coach is announced.
