Chris Petersen has reeled in his latest local prospect in the form of defensive end Ali Gaye (Edmonds Woodway High School / Edmonds, Wash.), whose letter of intent has been accepted by the University of Washington.

247 Sports lists Gaye as a 6-6, 260 lb. three-star prospect, and the No. 27 strong-side defensive end as well as the No. 626 overall recruit. Those in the know regard Gaye as a player with a high ceiling, but who needs to undergo a great deal of development before he becomes a meaningful contributor. Expect him to live in the weight room and at the training table for the next two to three years before getting the chance to make his mark as an upper-classmen.
