The No. 11 Washington Huskies kick off against the No. 9 Penn State Nittany Lions in this afternoon’s PlayStation Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz. The game promises to be one of the most compelling contests in which the Huskies will play during the 2017 season, as both teams feature offensive stars (Jake Browning and Myles Gaskin against Trace McSorley and Saquon Barkley), punishing defenders (Vita Vea and Keishawn Bierria against Marcus Allen and Jason Cabinda) and esteemed head coaches (Chris Petersen and James Franklin). As of Saturday morning, Vegas Insider favored the Nittany Lions to win by a margin of three points, while ESPN’s Football Power Index gave Penn State a 54.1 percent chance to earn the victory.
