How to Watch: Washington vs. Oregon

All the info you need to tune in to the UW game and the rest of the Pac-12 slate

NCAA Football: Washington at Oregon Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

#12 Washington 7-1 (4-1) vs. Oregon 5-4 (2-4)

Date: Saturday, October 28th

Time: 7:00pm PDT

Location: Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium, Seattle, Washington

TV: FS1

Streaming: Foxsportsgo.com

Radio: KOMO AM 1000

Excitement Rating: 10/10 (I will always give UW a 10/10 in the excitement rating. Actual score 7/10...). This game gets an extra point or two in the excitement rating because it’s the most vitriolic rivalry in the conference which always adds to a better viewing experience. Plus expect Oregon QB Justin Herbert to return after missing substantial time with a broken collarbone which makes Oregon a much more potent threat. Oregon will be hoping for payback after being embarrassed in Autzen a year ago but do they have the talent remaining to make it a game against a banged up UW squad that will be equally motivated? I say no. Because my psyche can’t imagine the alternative and splinter into a 1,000 pieces. And because it’s likely correct.

The line for this game opened at a ridiculous 26 but has moved almost 10 full points by game time. I’m assuming that at least part of this was because there was uncertainty over whether Herbert would play. The current line seems a lot closer to reasonable.

Washington is a 17 point favorite with an over/under of 52.5. That means the betting public expects a final score of Washington-35, Oregon-18.

Other Pac-12 Games

#18 Stanford 6-2 (5-1) @ #25 Washington State 7-2 (4-2)

Time: 12:30 pm PDT

TV: FOX

Streaming: Foxsportsgo.com

Excitement Rating: 7/10. This would normally be a 9 given that it’s two teams fighting to stay alive for the division title. The team that goes 2-0 in the Stanford/Wazzu/UW trifecta is almost assuredly going to win the Pac-12 North which means this game has huge implications for both teams. But I’m not psyched to watch this. If Bryce Love plays then it helps but both teams have QB problems right now. Luke Falk has been benched twice this year and Stanford has announced it’s finally benching Keller Chryst in favor of K.J Costello. I’m not expecting this game to be super fun to watch although it should be close. It appears that Bryce Love is going to play although maybe not 100% but that makes me think Stanford has the edge.

Washington State is a 1 point favorite with an over/under of 55. That means the betting public expects a final score of Washington State-28, Stanford-27.

Oregon State 1-7 (0-5) vs. California 4-5 (1-5)

Time: 2:00 pm PDT

TV: Pac-12 Network

Streaming: Pac-12.com

Excitement Rating: 2/10. I only give a 1 in the excitement rating if a team is playing an FCS opponent. Oregon State showed some life in their near upset of Cal but this is a battle between the teams that will finish 5th and 6th in the Pac-12 North and I have no interest in watching a second of this game.

California is a 7 point favorite and the Over/Under is 55 which means the betting public expects a score of California-31, Oregon State-24.

Colorado 5-4 (2-4) @ Arizona State 4-4 (3-2)

Time: 6:00 pm PDT

TV: Pac-12 Networks

Streaming: Pac-12.com

Excitement Rating: 5/10. Arizona State ruined the plans of Husky fans by crapping the bed against USC last week. The Huskies are still rooting for them in their games against the bottom feeders in the conference from here on out. If ASU wins this game then they stay alive in the South division while Colorado could clinch bowl eligibility with a win here.

Arizona State is a 3.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 58.5 which means the betting public expects a score of Arizona State-31, Colorado-28

#23 Arizona 6-2 (4-1) @ #17 USC 7-2 (5-1)

Time: 7:45 pm PDT

TV: ESPN

Streaming: Espn.com

Excitement Rating: 10/10. I’m giving this the rare 10 out of 10. The winner of this game will control their own destiny in the Pac-12 South and still has a chance of a New Year’s 6 bowl even if they are incredible longshots for the playoff. Khalil Tate may have taken over the title of most exciting player in college football from Lamar Jackson and Saquon Barkley. This game could very well look like this past Sunday’s Seahawks/Texans game and that game was phenomenal. It’s a shame the Huskies are playing at the same time and I’m not going to get to see this in its entirety. #Pac12AfterDark should be in full effect here.

USC is a 7.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 73 which means Vegas expects a score of USC-40, Arizona-33.
