  • Brandon Huffman previews today's May Madness event taking place at Foster High School in Tukwila. The event is one of the premier football camps in the Northwest with most of the region's top prospects, including a number of UW commits and signees, in attendance this year.
  • ($) Scott Eklund caught up with Salvon Ahmed, who took a visit to Washington this weekend. He says he is very comfortable around the staff and says he and Petersen rarely talk about football and instead usually end up chatting about life. Salvon says two of his friends, UW commits Connor Wedington and Hunter Bryant, are constantly in his ear about joining them at Washington. He says he's not in a hurry to make a decision and will likely take a few visits in the fall before committing somewhere.
  • 4-star TE Jimmy Jaggers talked to Scout this week about how his recruitment is going. He recently took visits to Washington, USC, and UCLA. Jimmy has visited Montlake numerous times and he says the staff always comes across as genuine and he has a really good connection with Petersen. He'll likely trim his list of schools by the end of the summer.
  • UW is the first school to extend an offer to 2018 TE Jake Peters, who will likely end up being one of the top 2018 prospects in the West at his position. He says the offer was a huge honor and he could definitely see himself playing at Washington. Jake plans on taking part in the Huskies' satellite camp in Huntington Beach this summer.
