NFL Draft 2016: Jaydon Mickens Signs With the Oakland Raiders

Mickens is headed to the Oakland Raiders after signing a contract as an undrafted free agent.

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Former Washington wide receiver Jaydon Mickens realized his NFL dreams yesterday when he signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent.

The 5-11, 174 lb. Mickens led Washington in receptions for each of the last two years, hauling in 60 and 58 catches in 2014 and 2015, respectively. In addition to his receiving acumen, Mickens also established himself as a running threat on fly sweeps thanks to his shiftiness and agility. He finished his collegiate career with the second-most career receptions (203) and the fifth-most receiving yards (2,187) of any player in program history. Mickens will reunite in Oakland with former Dorsey High School and Washington teammate Marvin Hall, whom the Raiders also signed to a free agent contract.

Check out a collection of highlights from Micken's college career below, and be sure to watch his interview with the NFL Network that aired earlier this month.
