Taniela Tupou realized the dream of every college football player tonight when the Seattle Seahawks signed him to a contract as an undrafted free agent.
The 6-2, 288 lb. Tupou spent most of his career at Washington as a reserve lineman behind such stars at Danny Shelton and Hau'oli Kikaha—including one ignominious point at which Steve Sarkisian's staff indicated that they'd prefer he find another school to attend—but elevated his game considerably as a senior. In his final year at Washington, Tupou tallied 37 tackles (5.5 for loss), one quarterback hurry, one pass deflection, one blocked field goal and one forced fumble en route to earning second-team all-conference honors.
Keep an eye out for Tupou in the below highlight video of Washington's 2015 defense.
