Washington extended an offer to the talented wideout last month and he told Rivals' Lars Hanson that it was an offer he had been dreaming about for a while. Alex says his comfortability with the program and the atmosphere on Montlake were significant reasons for his interest in the Huskies. Word is that he made the trip up to Seattle for the Spring Preview and it looks like this visit was enough to seal the deal. Cook becomes the sixth commit of the 2017 class and the second wide receiver. Cook has seen his stock rise throughout the spring, with a number of Power 5 schools showing interest and extending offers. Washington was able to beat out an impressive list of programs including Arizona, Cal, Oregon, Michigan, UCLA, Utah, Washington State, Colorado, and Oregon State.
As a junior in 2015, Cook tallied 46 receptions for 703 yards and 7 touchdowns. Scout ranks Cook as the #9 wide receiver prospect on the West Coast.
