The Lady Huskies jumped out to an early 12-0 lead and did not look back from there. Osahor was unstoppable in the paint and her 3 point form, which has now gained Deadspin status, was on point as she was 3-5 from behind the arc. The Cardinal made a late run and were aided by several questionable ref calls late. But, the Dawgs made the necessary stops and free throws to quell any thought of a UNI collapse.
Not only did the team score, they played solid defense against the Cardinal throughout the game. This was the third straight higher-seed the the Dawgs beat (#3 Maryland, #2 Kentucky and #4 Stanford).
Enjoy the ride!
