The Huskies enter tonight's game as 5.5 underdogs to San Diego State, and will look to pull off the upset. and addvance to the quarterfinals.

How to watch the game: ESPN2 8:30 p.m.

After a slow first half, the Huskies rallied in the second half to knock off the sixth seed Long Beach State 49ers 107-102, to advance to the second round of the NIT. After a six day break, the Huskies travel to San Diego to take on the second seed San Diego State Aztecs. The Aztecs knocked off IPFW 79-55 to advance to the second round.

The Huskies are 5.5 point underdogs coming into this game, and will need a more focused effort in this game if they are going to pull off the upset. This will be a clash of styles to be sure, as Steve Fischer's team likes to slow the pace down. Huskies fans need to look no further than last year's 49-36  victory over the Aztecs. If Fischer had his way, i'm sure he would like to play at a similar pace as last year's match-up (though he wouldn't certainly prefer a better outcome.). And if Romar had his way, i'm confident he would like to replicate the pace the team played at last week--though i'm sure he would prefer a much better defensive performance-- hence the clash of styles.

One more interesting point about this game: If the Huskies come out victorious, they will host another NIT game on Wednesday, as the fourth seed Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets knocked the  top seeded South Carolina Gamecocks 83-66 tonight.
