Following the end of the 2015 season, Dwayne Washington's somewhat surprising announcement that he would declare for the NFL draft prior to exhausting his eligibility meant that the Huskies would need to find another player to replicate his presence as a big-bodied running back. The Huskies hope to have accomplished that goal by signing Kamari Pleasant, a 6-1, 185 lb. running back out of Etiwanda (Calif.) High School.
Pleasant had previously been committed to Arizona State, but backed off of his pledge in mid-January. Three days later, he announced his intention to become a Husky and hasn't looked back since.
