With Josh Perkins graduating and Darrell Daniels heading into his senior season in 2016, Washington was on the hunt for a TE this recruiting cycle and they found their man in West Salem (Ore.) stud Jacob Kizer.
Listed at 6'5" 235 pounds, Kizer is an athletic tight end who can block and is also a threat receiving. Kizer is rated by Scout as the #2 tight end prospect in Oregon and the 6th best on the west coast. Jacob is known as a workhorse both on the field and in the classroom, making him a prototypical Chris Petersen recruit. Washington offered him in March and they had remained one of his top schools up until he committed in July. UW beat out Northwest rivals Oregon State and Washington State for the talented Salem, Oregon prospect.
