Back when Amandre Williams committed in early August it was not a big surprise - the local product from Tahoma Senior H.S. had long been considered a big Husky lean despite offers from Oregon, Utah, Cal and others. What was a surprise was when he appeared to open up his recruitment in October, taking official visits Boise State and Utah. While this could have put his commitment to the Huskies in jeopardy, he re-affirmed his pledge to Washington after those visits to secure his place in the 2016 class.
A very good athlete, Williams turned some heads with big numbers as a QB (throwing for 500+ yards in at least one contest) but his college future is on defense, likely as a BUCK or DE.
