One of the things Chris Petersen and his staff became known for at Boise State was identifying under-the-radar recruits and developing them into outstanding college football players. Petersen has lamented that once his staff extends an offer to a prospect, other schools come flooding in with offers, figuring that Petersen knows what he's doing. One such recruit in this class has been Kentrell Love. Originally a 3-star prospect out of Centennial H.S. (Corona, CA), Love has seen his stock rise significantly and is now a 4-star recruit in the Scout.com database, their #3 CB prospect in the West region as well a 4-star prospect according to Rivals.com. Greg Biggins of Scout.com has been effusive in his praise of Love, calling him "...the most physical corner out west" and one with "...as much potential as any corner out West."
Love committed back at the end of July but the Huskies had to fend off a late push from UCLA and USC to flip him as his family really wanted him to check out the local schools.
