- Washington continues to remain steadfast in their pursuit of 4-star TE Jimmy Jaggers. He told Greg Biggins this week that UW was among the 3 schools recruiting him the hardest. Jaggers plans on making the trip up to Montlake next weekend.
- Biggins also caught up with California's top ATH prospect, Greg Johnson, who says that Washington is among a handful of schools who are showing the most interest in him. Johnson says that he is in no hurry to make a commitment and will likely take all of his official visits.
- 4-star DB Brandon McKinney visited UW unofficially last fall and said he enjoyed his time meeting with the coaches and seeing the scenery. He told Scout shortly after his visit that the Huskies would likely remain among his top schools until he makes his commitment. It doesn't sound like much has changed on that front, but UW will have to battle Notre Dame, Oregon, UCLA, and ASU for McKinney's pledge.
- Washington is right in the thick of things for Martin Andrus, one of the top DTs on the West coast in 2017. Andrus has UW among his early list of potential official visits next fall.
- 3-star Santa Margarita OG Brett Neilon says he plans on taking a visit up to Seattle some time in March or April. Stanford sounds like the team to beat here if they end up offering.
- 3-star Mater Dei CB Jalen Cole is starting to see his recruitment pick up heading into the spring and he already holds offer from Idaho and Colorado State. Cole says he is hearing from Washington and would like to make up to campus for a visit. At 5'9" and 150lbs though, his size will likely scare some schools away.
- Dawgman's recruiting podcasts are typically a good listen and Tuesday's was no exception:
- For a more Northwest-centric look at recruiting, Northwest Elite Index has a run down of some of the region's top players taking part in the NW Stars Camp in a couple weeks.
- Chris Fetters of Dawgman has started to grade how UW coaches did recruiting each position in the 2016 class. So far he has reviewed the recruiting efforts at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver.
