Recruiting Roundup: The calm before the storm as the season concludes

All’s quiet as the coaching staff hits the trail.

Happy Monday, Dawg Fans. Here is your Sunday recruiting roundup (delayed a day to allow you to enjoy the drama of Selection Sunday).

Things have been quiet lately on the recruiting front, but expect things to start picking up this weekend starting with the visit of big Foster Sarell. Expect the staff to do everything they can to convince him that UW will get him to the NFL, and also get a first class education while playing close to home.

The coaching staff has been focusing on the season and has mentioned before there are only 2-3 spots left. Here is some news on a few of the current commits.

Top safety prospect Isiah Pola Mao has apparently trimmed his list down to three and is visiting ASU this weekend. Expect his recruitment to come down to ASU versus Jimmy Lake and UW.

Terrell Bynum and his St. John Bosko team defeated Mater Dei 42-28 for the CIFSS division 1 championship. Terrell played some DB during the game to help his team clinch the win.

Elijah Molden and his West Linn team beat Central Catholic for the Oregon 6A title. Molden had 2 rushing scores in the game including a 70 yarder on the 2nd play of the game.

Coach Pete and Coach Smith were out to see Jake Haener as his team played a playoff game last night. His team, Monte Vista (Northern California) beat Antioch to win the division title. Haener was 10-22 for 108 yards and 2 scores.
