Watch: Huskies Draw First Blood in the Peach Bowl

Somebody forgot to tell Jake Browning that he’s supposed to lose.

The Huskies clearly didn’t listen to the Vegas bettors who expected them to get blown out by Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Otherwise, Jake Browning wouldn’t have hit Dante Pettis on a beautiful long ball in the back-corner of the end zone.

The touchdown pass gave the Dawgs an early 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter, continuing Washington’s strong tendency this season to rack up points in the first quarter and play with a lead. The touchdown pass was Browning’s 43rd of the season, and represented Pettis’ 15th scoring reception of the year.
