Husky commit reaffirms his pledge and other recruiting notes

Husky coaches hosted a trio of recruits last weekend

As we head into the dead period of the 2017 recruiting season, the Huskies still have 3-4 spots to fill out the class. One of those spots will not go to Tyler Katoa, a 4-star linebacker out of Utah who committed to USC over Utah, UCLA, and UW.

Coach Pete and staff will likely take one more offensive lineman, another defensive lineman, and another defensive back. They are in on a lot of highly recruited kids who will make their decisions closer to signing day, so expect a few more ups and downs than the previous classes we have seen.

Current Husky commit Ty Jones, a star wideout out of Utah, reaffirmed his Husky commitment after taking a visit last weekend to Utah.

They also hosted 5-star local offensive lineman Foster Sarell. The Dawgman guys spoke with him this last weekend (note: it's a subscriber article).

Chaz Ah You, the other Husky visitor, was reportedly wowed by his Husky visit. He plans on taking his mission after high school and will count as a 2019 kid for whichever school he signs with.

St. John Bosco star and current Husky commit Terrell Bynum beat De La Salle for the CIF open bowl championship, 56-33. Terrell had a 10-yard touchdown in the game and played wideout and defensive back.

Husky coaches also offered a preferred walk-on spot to kicker Ryan Henderson of Archbishop Murphy. He is an all-state senior.

Expect a few more preferred walk-on names to pop up as signing day approaches.
