The stakes for today’s Apple Cup couldn’t be higher, as both teams are playing for the right to represent the Pac-12 North in the Dec. 2 conference championship game. The Huskies come into today having won 13 of their last 14 games dating back to last season, but are somewhat hobbled defensively thanks to season-ending injuries suffered by starting linebackers Azeem Victor and Joe Mathis. Meanwhile, the Cougars have rebounded nicely after starting the season with an 0-2 faceplant via losses to FCS Eastern Washington and Boise State by winning eight consecutive games before losing on the road last week against No. 10 Colorado.
