Rece Davis just announced that, indeed, Joel McHale will make a guest appearance as the celebrity host during ESPN’s College Gameday “picks” segment.

McHale was a walk-on tight end for the UW football team in the early 90’s. He earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree during his time at Washington and remains a vocal fan of both the Huskies and Seattle Seahawks football programs.
Since graduating from UW, McHale has made his mark in television. His first big break was in 2004 as the host of E Network’s popular The Soup program. In 2009, McHale earned the starring role in the sitcom Community. He is currently appearing in a lead role on CBS’s new sitcom called The Great Indoors.
