Three-star Athlete Kamari Pleasant Commits to the University of Washington

Help UWDP in welcoming the newest member of the 2016 recruiting class, Kamari Pleasant!

Student Sports

Following a weekend official visit to Montlake 3-star ATH Kamari Pleasant (6'1", 185 lbs) has decided to flip his commitment from the Sun Devils to the Dawgs. He was also considering USC and Oregon:

Pleasant committed to Arizona State as a DB on Christmas day, but recently backed off that pledge. ASU is planning on signing 5 defensive backs this recruiting cycle and had told Kamari they may ask him to greyshirt and delay his enrollment until next January, which did not sit well with him. Washington is recruiting him as a running back and he says he is fine with that and happy to play anywhere he is needed. We can most likely expect Kamari to fill a role similar to Dawyne Washington's in the offense. Pleasant was among the numerous official visitors last weekend, a visit that he says was nearly perfect. Kamari was able to sit down with Coach Petersen and also got to bond with his future position coach Keith Bhonapha. Pleasant is a product of Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, the same high school as UW freshman TE Mike Neal. As a senior in 2015 he tallied 677 all-purpose yards (516 rushing, 161 receiving) and 8 total touchdowns.
