I've got to be brief today as I don't know how much internet connection I'll have for the remainder of the day. I'm furiously en route to the Emerald City - currently located somewhere over Greenland - with some sketchy GoGo WiFi but thankful nonetheless. I'll be watching football this time tomorrow. And that is a good thing.
As far as this weekend goes, here is what I'll be looking out for in Dot form:
- Remember when I told you last week that Kentucky would straight up beat South Carolina in the upset of the weekend? Remember???? You guys have no trouble yapping about where I put Cal in my Power Rankings, but not a single "nice call, Chris"? Well, I got nothing for ya' this week.
- The game of the day is the Ole Miss vs Alabama matchup in the SEC. I really like Ole Miss and have already this week made some observations about how efficient their offense has been through the first two weeks of the season. They'll present a challenge to the Crimson Tide, but it'll be all for naught. One simply doesn't walk into Tuscaloosa and beat the Tide.
- The best games of the weekend mostly involve the PAC 12, but that isn't saying a ton. Cal traveling to Texas and the Stanford road trip to USC comprise two of today's more interesting contests.
- If you are into #PAC12AfterDark, then be sure to check out the BYU @ UCLA game later tonight. Something strange and wonderful is sure to happen in that one.
This is your open thread. Check in during Gameday and the early action. Ben will be taking you home during the Huskies game today.
