After a full scrimmage (closed to the public) on Saturday, yesterday's practice was light with no pads to give the team a bit of a break, but it was back to full pads today as they took to the east practice field. It was a nice day for the secondary (and conversely not so good for some of the quarterbacks) with a lot of interceptions by the defense.
On to the tweets!

Huskies just wrapped up first practice of the day. Defense forces 5 turnovers. Three picks for Jake Browning in his worst day of camp.
— Adam Jude (@A_Jude) August 17, 2015
UW offense installed a bunch of new stuff today, hence some of the turnovers. OC Jonathan Smith still not pleased with 5 turnovers.

Petersen on Jake Browning's three picks: "He'll bounce back. He's a mature guy. He gets it. He takes stuff very hard, very personal."

That kind of day for UW O-line: Lose Dexter Charles to injury/retirement; his replacement at LG, Jake Eldrenkamp, rolls ankle on last play.
— Adam Jude (@A_Jude) August 17, 2015
Some good news for O-line: True frosh Trey Adams worked extensively w/ No. 2 offense at LT. At 6-7, 302, he's going to be a good one someday
— Adam Jude (@A_Jude) August 17, 2015
Petersen on young O-linemen: "Really excited about the future with those guys."
— Adam Jude (@A_Jude) August 17, 2015
Lots of recent installation with the offense, Petersen said, so that might help explain some of the struggles.
— Christian Caple (@ChristianCaple) August 17, 2015
Sad news today about the retirement of Dexter Charles. Really a good kid. Likely stays close to the team and remains a leader. Next man up

Interesting Chris Petersen said he regrets putting Tuesday's rest day on calendar because it may have had mental effect. But rest day needed
