- 3-star safety Keyon Riley out of Servite High School in Anaheim has seen his recruitment pick up over the past few months. He is thought to have serious interest in UW, but will a recent UCLA offer shake things up?
- Recent USC de-commit Melquise Stovall, a 4-star athlete, was strongly considering Washington prior to his commitment to the Trojans. He says at this point he is open to everything and it will be interesting to see if the Huskies become a factor in his recruitment again.
- Gonzaga Prep DE Evan Weaver originally planned to announced his commitment on August 18th, but after a visit to Cal recently he decided there was no need to wait any longer:

- Top 10 overall prospect DT Rashard Lawrence recently included UW in his list of top 5 schools. While Alabama and LSU are considered the favorites in this race, Washington should not be counted out just yet.
- Washington has been recruiting top 10 WR prospect Javon McKinley harder than any other school and it's paying off. McKinley plans to take one of his official visits to Montlake.
- Former UCLA commit 4-star CB Jordan Parker released a list of his top 7 schools this week and Washington made the cut.
- 3-star Palm Springs CB Tayler Hawkins says he believes he has finally narrowed down his list of schools to a top 5 and the Huskies are included in that list.
- Greg Biggins recaps what turned out to be a very big weekend for Washington DL recruiting.
- Washington was thought to be the favorite to land 3-star CB Myles Bryant, but a recent UCLA offer may cause some problems for Petersen and Co.
- 2017 St. John Bosco OL Ben Holmes is already hearing from a number of schools and one of the schools he plans to visit is UW.
- One of the top high school showdowns this season is the August 29th meeting of Chandler (AZ) and Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and there will be quite a few Washington targets going head to head in this match up.
- 4-star DE Isaiah Chambers, a top Texas recruit, has nearly locked in all of his official visits. He knows 3 schools he'll be visiting for sure and Washington is one of those.
- 2017 5-star DB Darnay Holmes, ranked the number 1 corner in the West and number 12 overall prospect, recently narrowed his list of schools to 10 and UW is included.
