What They're Saying About Camilo:

I think he will be able to do many things very well and be someone that has the ability to start for multiple seasons at the next level and play at a very high level.

- Jamie Uyeyama, sonofacoach.com

Bishop O'Dowd linebacker Camilo Eifler is a talented outside ‘backer who put on a show at The Opening regional camp in Oakland. He was a defensive end just two years ago but has developed in to an athletic, physical linebacker who can run and hit.

- Greg Biggins, Scout.com

Awesome kid and it's a privilege to coach him.

- Napoleon Kaufman, Bishop O'Dowd head football coach

The Interview:

UWDP: Why did you choose Washington?

Camilo Eifler: I chose Washington because I felt the trust from Coach Petersen in building a program with academic excellence and athletic success. I felt very comfortable with the team and it felt like home. Also Seattle has various job opportunities if my football career doesn't plan out the way it should. Also, I felt that as a defensive program Washington has done a lot of great things with their outside linebackers and me coming to UW would bring a bit more attention to it.

UWDP: Favorite thing about your visit?

Camilo Eifler: I've only had two unofficial visits but my favorite parts from each were touring the beautiful campus and spending time with the guys. Also seeing the amazing facilities in the UW stadium.

UWDP: Who do you model your game after?

Camilo Eifler: I model my game after Shaq Thompson and Myles Jack, more current linebackers. But if I was to model my game after an older player it would be Lavan Arrington. I love his passion and athleticism.

UWDP: Who is a currently uncommitted player you'd most want to commit to UW?

Camilo Eilfer: Definitely Devin Asiasi, and Javon McKinley. At Cornerback I'm pushing for Byron Murphy and Jordan Parker. I would love for this class to be stacked with talent across the board.

UWDP: Best and worst part about the recruiting process?

Camilo Eifler: For all the hype from the fans to be over once you are committed. Best part being able to commit to a D1 football program and go to school for free and be able to take visits to the institutions.

Once again I'd like to thank Camilo for taking some time to do this. I know he's probably pretty busy with fall camp right now. Best of luck this season Camilo and we'll see you in purple & gold next year!
