If you enjoy recruiting (and really, who doesn't?) then today has been a little like Christmas morning. Just a few hours after Kentrell Love committed, Nick Harris announced his decision to become a Dawg:
Excited to say I am 100% committed to the University of Washington #WOOF #GoHuskies pic.twitter.com/wybA0PW49q
— Nick L. Harris (@NICKHARRIS56) July 31, 2015
Harris is a center out of JSerra Catholic in San Juan Capistrano and teammate of Luke Wattenberg. The Washington staff just offered Harris on Tuesday and it clearly didn't take long for him to figure out where he wanted to play his college ball. Nick has been a lightly recruited prospect with offers from Kansas, Cal Poly, and New Hampshire to go along with his offer from Washington, but was also hearing from Boise State, Colorado, and San Diego State among others. Harris visited UW along with current Husky commit and friend Luke Wattenberg just a couple weeks ago and loved what he saw. Harris told Scott Eklund that Washington was planning on taking 2 OL commits this class so it looks like the book has closed on offensive line recruiting for 2016.
Harris is 6'1" 275 pounds and plays tackle at JSerra, but has said he is being recruited at center. His Hudl film can be seen below:
