Washington Huskies at Oregon State Open Game Thread

The Huskies attempt to snap a four-game losing streak in Corvallis.

Godofredo Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Washington Huskies (14-8, 3-7) at Oregon State (15-7, 6-4), Sunday February 8th, 1:30 pm, Fox Sports 1.

Coach Romar and the Huskies will take on Coach Tinkle's Beavers in an afternoon contest in Corvallis, and for UW it will be a chance to win for the first time in well over two weeks.

The Beavers, led by do-everything guard Gary Payton III, will be fresh off a much-needed 55-50 home victory over WSU, have won two of their last four while failing to reach 60 points in any of those contests.

Expect a low-scoring matinee with short rotations. There is a solid chance every starting guard for both teams will play at least 35 minutes, so it's fair to expect the game to get uglier as time goes on.

To steal one on the road, Washington will likely need another efficient scoring night for Nigel Williams-Goss, who has shot over 60% in three straight games, and valiant efforts from undersized players like Donaven Dorsey and Mike Anderson that will be forced to defend and rebound in the post.

Enjoy the game and Go Dawgs!
