3 Star LB Kyler Manu is a Husky

#PoachPete struck Boise State in the 2015 class.

Height: 6'1''

Weight: 200

Rankings: 3* #86 OLB by Scout, 3* #105 OLB by 247

Kyler Manu is a guy that was being recruited by a number of schools that seem to have a perennial eye for bringing in under the radar type of players, and then getting those guys to overachieve once they get on campus. Schools like Boise State, Utah, and Wisconsin. Hopefully, UW can follow that pattern with Manu. Which isn't to say that he's not a good prospect right now, because he is. He shows good instincts in reacting quickly to plays, and is a downhill defender who closes out space on the ball very quickly.

Manu was initially committed to Boise State, but quickly flipped once Chris Petersen left and continued to show him interest once he was at Washington.

Though the Huskies are losing quite a bit of talent at linebacker, they've also got a lot returning as it's a position they've consistently recruited pretty well over the past few years. Manu shouldn't be expected to contribute on defense in a major way for a few years.
