Jared Hilbers was not on many radars prior to his commitment to Washington. He committed to the Huskies pretty early in the process, which drew many questions about why, as there were several players that the recruiting services had pegged as better prospects that held high interest in Washington. Hilbers is a guy that for whatever reason the UW staff sees something and were willing to give him a spot in their 2015 OL class.
If Hilbers sees time in 2015, something has gone horribly wrong. There are enough bodies ahead of him that he will be able to redshirt -- and even if the linemen we haven't seen much of that are already on the roster don't pan out, there are other candidates in this class who would almost certainly see the field before Hilbers would.
