Former Husky football player and current Utah State defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe has finally been announced as the new defensive line coach for the University of Washington under head coach Chris Petersen

Malloe was a Husky defensive back from 1992 to 1996. He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the UW and has since progressed up the coaching ladder. His stops over the past 13 years have included roles at Hawai'i, UTEP, Yale, Portland State and Utah State.

The staff will benefit from Malloe's connections to the Husky program, with his familiarity recruiting the Northwest and Pacific Islands, and his broad experience coaching on the defensive side of the ball and on special teams.
