Fresh off a surprising season-opening win in China vs. Texas, the Huskies open up their home schedule vs. Mount St. Mary's tonight at Hec Ed.

Danny La-USA TODAY Sports

Hoops season is underway and the Men's team kicks off their first official game of the season in Hec Ed tonight as they host the Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary's. The Northeast Conference team will be playing the third of five straight road games to kick off their season following losses at Maryland (80-56) and Ohio State (76-54) before moving on to Spokane Saturday night to face Gonzaga.

Washington will look to build off that Texas game and work on reducing their unnecessary fouls and turnovers. The Mountaineers will provide a nice test of the perimeter defense for the Huskies - they feature some good 3-point shooters.

Check out Jesse's excellent game preview to learn more about "The Mount". The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks with Kevin Calabro calling the game and Husky alum Eldridge Recasner handing the color commentary. Radio coverage will be on KOMO AM 1000 and FM 97.7 with Bob Rondeau and Jason Hamilton on the call.

Here's your open thread for the game - Go Huskies!
