Running Game Changes

I think that major changes need to happen in the running game. What works vs what doesn't and clearly a large part of it needs to be changed. My question for you guys/gals is what are your ideas? Based on what you've seen other teams do or based on your own ideas. My thought was that the bye week presented a nice opportunity to make some adjustments. The lack of an effective running game affects everything else. The offense gets one dimensional and the fact that we have to throw more with a true freshman hurts us. The offense, or lack there of, is hurting our defense too. You can't expect a defense to constantly be on the field without yielding points. As we get into the tough part of our schedule something has to change. Is the answer just sticking with it and executing better or change it up? What say you knowledgeable Dawg Pound members, crying out for better offensive production.
