Football Dots
- As usual, Chris Petersen held his Monday morning press conference yesterday. Video and a transcript of it can be found here. He touched on the status of Jake Browning saying that the QB is day-to-day. Petersen also informed the media that freshman receiver Quinten Pounds suffered a season ending knee injury recently.
- Game notes, including a depth chart, for Saturday's match up against Stanford have been put up on GoHuskies.com
- Saturday's game will be the 3rd game this season kicking off after 7 p.m. and there is more where that came from:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The Huskies game vs. Arizona on Saturday, October 31 will kick off at 8:00 p.m. Tickets: <a href="https://t.co/eccae5bljR">https://t.co/eccae5bljR</a> <a href="https://t.co/QAILojnVge">pic.twitter.com/QAILojnVge</a></p>— UW Football (@UW_Football) <a href="https://twitter.com/UW_Football/status/656194257179439104">October 19, 2015</a></blockquote>

- RichRod is not having it:

- Q13's Aaron Levine turned his sights on The Zone in his latest commentary piece proposing that UW close the tailgating area, which bleeds fans out of the stadium, at halftime:

- Former Husky Shaq Thompson suffered a scare in Sunday's game against the Seahawks, but it appears he has avoided serious injury to his knee:

- You probably don't know his name, but you certainly know his clients. Meet Jimmy Sexton, the super agent behind so many of college and professional football coaching contracts. There's also an interesting tidbit about the role Sark and the Washington football program played in getting Jim Mora back into college coaching nearly 30 years after serving as a GA for the Huskies.
- The guys of Dawgman.com hosted a 3 hour show on KJR on Saturday. Former Husky OL Dexter Charles was a guest on the show and he talked about what he is up to since retiring from football as well as his relationship with Sark. You can listen to hour 1 here, hour 2 here, and hour 3 here.
Misc. Dots
- Mason Kelley authored a superb profile on head softball coach Heather Tarr and the extensive role she has played shaping the program since walking on to UW's softball team in its 2nd year of existence. If Don James was the Dawgfather of Husky football, Heather Tarr is the Dawgmother of Husky softball.
- The volleyball team continues to roll through its competition, sweeping Oregon State on Wednesday and doing the same thing to the 24th ranked Ducks on Friday. Their continued success has earned them a spot in the AVCA coaches poll for the 200th consecutive week. That's 13 straight years!
