It was a bit of a quiet week on the recruiting front, but the Huskies' upset of 17th ranked USC turned heads across the nation and caught the attention of several recruits. Follow us at our new Twitter handle @UWonSBN to stay up to date on recruiting and other Huskies news.

  • Probably the biggest news of the week was Taylor Rapp's signing of a financial aid agreement with Washington:

Financial aid agreements are not the same as Letters of Intent, but Rapp's decision to sign a FAA sends a strong signal that he is solidly committed to Washington. He plans to graduate high school early and enroll at UW in January. Shameless plug here, but if you'd like to know more about Taylor I spoke with him in August and you can read that interview here.

  • One benefit of Rapp signing his FAA is UW coaches are now allowed to publicly acknowledge him and Jimmy Lake wasted no time welcoming him to the Washington family:

  • Scout has some early season highlights of Sean McGrew. Greg Biggins also gives a brief scouting report on the RB commit.
  • QB Justin Herbert, a target Washington had yet to offer, committed to Oregon almost immediately after they offered him on Thursday. Justin described Oregon as his dream school:

  • Washington's upset of USC in the Coliseum on Thursday not only excited the fan base, but also got numerous high profile recruits fired up:

2017 WR Terrell Bynum

2017 RB Sione Heimuli-Lund

2017 CB Keith Taylor

2017 CB Deommodore Lenoir
