Washington Huskies at Utah Utes Open Game Thread

Riding a three-game winning streak, the Huskies attempt to upset the #12 Utes.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Washington Huskies (14-4, 3-3) at #12 Utah Utes (15-3, 5-1), Sunday January 25, 5:30pm, ESPNU.

The Huskies are riding a three game win streak, including a 52-50 win over Colorado capped off by Andrew Andrews' game winning jumper. That victory gave Washington its first true road win of the season (except, technically, the win at Seattle U).

Pulling off a win at #12 Utah is significantly more daunting. The Utes boast a 7-0 post presence in freshman center Jakob Poetl, who should return in some capacity from his ankle injury, a do-everything star in G Delon Wright, and several hot-shooting role players to test Washington's zone defense.

A win at the hostile Jon Huntsman Center, no matter how ugly, would place the losing streak firmly in the rear-view mirror. To pull it off, the Huskies will need a dominant performance from Robert Upshaw and efficient, low-turnover guard play.

As always, enjoy the game and Go Dawgs!
