Let's face it, football season is getting closer, and there are some serious questions surrounding certain positions and position groups that should be answered. If I were to be frank with you, I'd prefer to have answers to these questions sooner, rather than later. That being said, I have this hunch that a lot of decisions will be "game-time" decisions ... so, here's the latest:
*** Updated 12:26 p.m Pacific Time ***
From Coach Pete:
He stated that five to seven true freshmen will play this year. However, he also emphasized that more could see the field as the season wears on. He also mentioned that the Dawgs are going to go with both a tight end by committee, and also a running back by committee, at least to start the season.
He also mentioned the purpose of setting up his twitter account. He said that 90% of recruits respond faster via twitter than any other medium. His twitter account, @coachpeteUW is exclusively for messaging recruits. He would not have started up a twitter account otherwise.
Senior DE Andrew Hudson, on being the same size as So. QB Jeff Lindquist: "Maybe I should play QB. Nah, just kidding." #UW

DBs coach Jimmy Lake says nothing is decided in secondary except that Marcus Peters will start. Other three spots still being contested.

UW secondary coach Jimmy Lake on Budda Baker: "He's going to be special." -- http://t.co/dHEToSOoef

In addition to Budda Baker, Lake singled out 4 other freshmen: CBs Sidney Jones, Darren Gardnehire, Naijiel Hale, plus S Jojo McIntosh.

I wouldn't be surprised to see all five of these true freshmen see some playing time this year.
Brandon Beaver says of Huskies secondary: "We've got a lot of playmakers back there." http://t.co/HDJTiPFrFm

As far as the quarterbacking situation goes ... well, it appears that Jeff Lindquist and Cyler Miles have moved ahead of Troy Williams. This is really based only on the last scrimmage that was held. We'll see where this one goes. Feel free to add any other buzz you might have heard in the comment section.
