Brandon Wellington is rated a 4 star player by both 247 and Scout. Scout lists him at RB and has him as the 10th best prospect at the position in his class, and the 101st best prospect overall. 247 meanwhile lists him at safety where they rank him 13th in the nation and 186th overall. Scout and 247 have him listed at 6'1'' 205 and 6' 220 respectively.
Wellington is a student at Eastside Catholic, of Belleve Washington and has listed offers from Colorado, Oregon State, and Washington State while also receiving attention from Oregon and USC. Because he's entering his junior year, it's likely that the offers from those upper echelon schools will roll in before all is said and done, and the Huskies will need to play defense.
Wellington admitted he’s had a great feel for the coaching staff for awhile, especially the head man. "Coach Petersen, he’s close to the players and he doesn’t leave anyone out," said the 6-foot, 205-pound Wellington.
