Washington Huskies June 2015 Football Recruiting Update

It's been a slow couple of months on the recruiting front for UW, but with summer camps getting under way, things will likely pick up soon.

Otto Greule Jr

UW hasn't gotten a commitment since we did our May update, and a few big targets have committed to conference rivals. But all in all, I think the Huskies are sitting pretty good with enough guys right now that we're going to be happy with the state of things heading into fall practices.

QB: (1)

Jake Browning 4* COMMITTED

RB: (2)

Myles Gaskin 4* COMMITTED

Malik Lovette 4*

Cameron Scarlett 4*

Paul Lucas 3*

Dedrick Young 3*

Austin Joyner 4* WASHINGTON STATE

With Gaskin in already, and Scarlett said to be leaning toward UW, it's looking like it'll be an excellent RB class for the Huskies. If Scarlett does in fact become a Dawg, I suspect that would wrap up this position for the Huskies.

WR: (3)

Lavan Alston 4*

Kanya Bell 4*

Cordell Broadus 4*

Desean Holmes 4*

Trent Irwin 4*

Christian Kirk 4*

Chico McClatcher 4*

Equanimeous St. Brown 4*

Ben Burr-Kirven 3*

Andre Baccellia 3*

Jeremy Kelly 3*

Adam Turner 3*

Isaiah Renfro 3*

A.D. Miller 3*

TE: (1)

Will Gragg 4*

Tyler Petite 3*

Thomas Hudson 3*

Matt Pistone 3*

This is a bit of a position of concern right now. These guys are scattered all about the country, which is a sign that the staff may be scrambling. This is a spot where we may see a lower rated, project-style commit come in late in the cylce - which is fine, as there's enough depth at TE to take that kind of a prospect in this class.

OL: (4)

Trey Adams 3* COMMITTED

Roy Hemsley 4* USC

Andre James 4*

Bar Milo 4*

Henry Roberts 4*

George Brown 3*

James Empey 3*

Steve Miller 3*

Zach Robertson 3*

Calvin Throckmorton 3*

Semisi Uluave 3*

Fred Ulu-Perry 3*

Husky fans will be really happy with this OL class come February. They're doing really well all around, and have the inside track on in-state guys Roberts and Throckmorton. They may only take 3 OL this year, but if they can get a 4th high quality guy (and they might be able to) we could see 4.

DE: (4)

Rasheem Green 5*

Canton Kaumatule 5*

Keisean Lucier-South 5*

Benning Potoa'e 4*

Myles Rice 4*

Tyrone Wheatley 4*

Joseph Wicker 4*

Eddie Rudinski 3*

Mufi Hunt 3*

Jason Scrempos 3*

Rick Wade 3*

Russell Ude 3*

UW will take Wicker's commitment down to the wire, with a great shot at him. There was a time when people thought UW had no shot with Potoa'e, but now it looks like he'll will likely stay home. With what we saw in terms of his brother struggling to get big enough to play on the interior defensive line, I'd expect him to be a DE, but reasonable minds can differ.

They're basically not recruiting Rasheem Green anymore from what I've heard.

DT: (2)

Khalil McKenzie 5*

Jacob Daniel 4* USC

Tevita Mounga 3*

Last update we said Daniel had unofficially eliminated UW and was down to USC and Oregon. Sure enough, he's now firmly committed to Steve Sarkisian and the Trojans. Better than Oregon I guess.

LB: (4)

Rick DeBerry 5*

John Houston 5*

Porter Gustin 4*

Ben Humphreys 4*

Osa Masina 4*

Cassius Peat 4*

Kyahva Tezino 4*

Casey Toohill 3*

DJ Beavers 3*

Landis Durham 3*

Richard Moore 3*

Davon Durant JUCO

Claude George JUCO

Kyler Manu 3* BOISE STATE

DB: (4)

Iman Marshall 5*

Kendall Sheffield 5*

Frank Buncom 4*

Stanley Norman 4*

DeChaun Holiday 4*

Isaiah Langley 4*

Kameron Powell 3* WASHINGTON STATE

Ykili Ross 4*

Marvel Tell 4*

Kenneth McGruder 3*

Josh Butler 3*

Jalen Thompson 3*

Will Lockett 3*

Jihree Stewart 3*
