3 Star Offensive Lineman Jared Hilbers Commits To UW

The Dawgs nab their second offensive lineman for the 2015 class.

Jared Hilbers is a 6-6 270-ish offensive lineman who came up to UW for its Rising Stars camp a couple weekends ago. Obviously, the Husky coaching staff liked enough of what they saw from Hilbers at that time to evaluate him further, and when a scholarship offer was extended on Monday, the opportunity was too good for him to turn down.

This is probably something of a domino effect: with Calvin Throckmorton committing to Oregon, the UW staff had to extend down their board a little bit and luckily for Hilbers he was climbing up it at the same time due to Rising Stars.

According to 247, he's the #136 OT in the country, while Scout has him as the #94 OT. Both services have him rated a three star prospect. Hilbers was also being recruited by Cal, Colorado State, Nevada, Oregon State, and Washington State among others.

Hilbers is the seventh commitment in UW's 2015 class, and the second offensive lineman. The Huskies have yet to get a commitment on the defensive side of the ball.
